Preparing the Next Generation of Student-Athletes

My name is John Mangieri, owner and founder of Lucky 13 Baseballan independent recruiting service for aspiring student-athletes looking to play at the collegiate level. With over 280 Division I and almost 250 Division II universities and college that offer NCAA baseball scholarships, the process of finding the right school can be quite frustrating and very time consuming.

Reaching out and contacting numerous coaches during this recruiting process and understanding the NCAA and NAIA rules and regulations can be a vigorous task for the average athlete and his family. If you are a serious athlete looking to further develop your baseball skills and using those skills to help you attend the college of your choice, my recruiting service can provide you with that opportunity.

What the Parents are Saying

"Having John Mangieri as the pitching coach for my son Johnny's high school baseball team for his junior year was a double winner. Mangieri's knowledge of the game and experience as a professional ball player imparted instruction beyond the fundamentals. Coach Mangieri taught Johnny how to setup hitters in certain situations as a pitcher. He helped Johnny redefine his mechanics. Additionally, Mangieri's contacts within the sports community drew many college coaches to my son's games and afforded Johnny the luxury of exposure. John also gives outstanding private lessons and coached last summer's 17u Storm travel team where the further exposure to college recruiters resulted in Johnny signing early with a DI school, NYIT for Fall 2010." – John & Cheryl Duggan (parents of John Duggan)

"Thank you for all your efforts for helping and guiding us through the difficult recruiting process towards Steven's acceptance to Post University in Waterbury Ct. Your personal touch and insight helped alleviate the stress involved in College search, and is a major reason why Steven received a generous athletic and academic scholarship from Post. Furthermore, your advice and experience as a pitching coach helped Steven make the necessary adjustments in his pitching mechanics that helped him become the pitcher he needed to be to pitch at the Division II level." – Michael Kimmelman (father of Steve Kimmelman)

T.J. Pecoraro
T.J. Pecoraro

With the guidance and helpful instruction of Lucky 13, T.J. Pecoraro has earned a baseball scholarship in 2010 to Vanderbilt University. Lucky 13 had the fortune of working with him and watching him develop for four years. A highly touted prospect, many MLB organizations believe T.J. is a top draft choice this year. His fastball has been clocked as high as 94 MPH, but what separates T.J. are his plus secondary pitches; he has a devestating change-up and solid curveball. Check out T.J.'s web site below.
